Two new films from London filmmakers have been commissioned as part of Microwave – our unique and award-winning feature film scheme which seeks to champion the capital’s best emerging talent.
Immersive, emotional crime drama Looted and complex family drama Sick(er) have been selected for the latest round of Film London Microwave, which is backed by the BFI, BBC Films and Creative Skillset.
The selection of these two films follows an intensive period of training and development for 12 filmmaking teams, which saw them guided by a range of professional film industry mentors. The two successful commissions will now receive £100,000 towards a capped £150k production budget, funding, along with an additional £25,000 to support their finished films’ distribution and exhibition.
